(The trail descended toward the earth at a 30 degree angle with a slight aro. Taa smakt trail dissipated 20 minutes after informant sighted it. Die trail disappeared behind a ran** of mountain* 30 mile a northeast of Boise. Ia- formsnt Judged the coordinate* to be fro a k} degrees, 36 alauts* Berths 116 degrees, 11 nlsate* West to U3 decrees, ^9 adntitss Horth, 115 degress, 58 minutes West. MOKAQEAK stated that he sighted the smoke trail in the sky at 0715 hours* on 18 Dsoeaber 19k)|( from his home at 1709 Bannook St., Boise, Idaho. Sue trail started from a cloud baee at 25,000 feet. The cloud was tlires ailes long and one- half mile vld* and almost directly overhead. The trail descended toward the earth at a 50 degree angle, and disappeared behind aauntaln r.-?nge 15 miles northeast of Boise. Informant Judged the trail to be 10 to 15 feat , vide at the cloud base and tepered down to a even fsst before it disappeared behind the mountains, there was no opening in ths cloud which would in- diaats that 3n object had passed nthroogh it. The trail began to break up sad drift In the wind approximately Uo minutes after ha first sighted it at 0715 hours. Informant watch ad the smoke trail for approximately five minutes, then called ths Yoather Bureau at Boise Municipal Airport.
