following statement:
On 17 December 194S, at approximately 1:30 A. U. while working
as conductor in the railroad yards of the Rpang-Chalfont Corporations
Ambridge, Pennsylvania, my attention was attracted by a sh<J>ut from  a

sky.  I immediately loqked up towards the direction indicated by Y.r.
V''errier and sighted what appenred to be a group of eight wnite objects 
approximately 45 atove the horizon raoving up the river frotr. nochester

30 .seconds.  The objects were solid v.hite rotating wheels end approx-
imately the size of a hi^h fall rnoon.  The v.eather was clear.  I , vas
standing! on a frei?ht-c''er near the svntchiiip engine and could not say
whether the objects made any noise.  The objects appeared tjo be def-
initely urder control and no antennae, wings, fins, (projec+iions,
propellers, slots, ducts, or openings,were visible.  They did not leave
any vapor trail, and there were no! sipns of an exhaust.  I could not
make definite statements to the spr.ed, size or altitude of the objects
